Did you import this 1099-R from your financial institution? It may not have transferred correctly.
Double check that the code entered in the program from box 7 of your 1099-R is correct.
If it is, you may need to delete it and import it again or even enter it manually (type it in yourself) if that doesn't correct the issue.
Add/Edit/Delete Form 1099-R (Distributions From Pensions, Annuities, Retirement or Profit-Sharing Plans, IRAs, Insurance Contracts, etc.):
- Open your return (if not already open).
- Enter "1099r" in the Search box.
- Click on "jump to 1099r" link.
- Import or Enter you information manually. You may also delete (garbage can) or edit (magnifying glass) your 1099-R on the Review your 1099-R info page.
