Question

I did not take RMD this year, ho3wever it continues to show up as income in Turbo Tax. When hit "review" i cannot see RMD so cannot delete

Turbo Tax will not let me edit/delete an incorrect
RMD in the income.  I did not take RMD, but it continues to show up as income.

Where is this income coming from? Did you enter a 1099-R with a distribution? If so, it doesn't matter if you say it was an RMD or not. You took the money, so you might as well call it an RMD to get rid of any issues.

I checked a box in the RMD by mistake and now I am unable to delete it.

You can make changes to the 1099-R by editing the entry.  To enter this in TurboTax follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to TurboTax
  2. Select Income and Wages
  3. Select Edit next to 1099-R
  4. Box 1 gives you the RMD
  5. Uncheck the box that tells the IRS that all of the amount is the RMD.
