Question

I have a 1099-R form with Box 7 distribution code '4G' where 'G' stands for 'direct rollover'. Should I include this 1099-R when I file the 2024 fed income tax return?

    Yes.

You have to report this form 1099-R, even if the rollover is not taxable.

After entering your form 1099-R, follow the TurboTax interview, and you can indicate that the distribution was rolled over, and whether it was rolled over to a Roth IRA (in which case it becomes taxable).
