I have a 1099-R that reflects my RMD. I need this to appear in the line 4b rather than 5b. What can I do?

Line 4 on form 1040 reports distributions from IRAs.

Line 5 reports distributions from pensions and annuities,

For the distribution to appear on line 4, on your 1099-R form, the box IRA/SEP?SIMPLE next to box y has to be checked.
