Question

I have a 19-year-old daughter who lives at home. She received approx. six months worth of Social Security due to my wife's disability. How do I enter this?

These benefits ended last year once she graduated high school. However, she received lump sums from 2018-2021 as well. She isn't showing up on my TurboTax SS benefits area.

Social Security benefits for a dependent are not entered on your tax return.  If the dependent has no other income other than the SS benefits they do not file a tax return.

You do not enter your daughter's SS benefits on your own tax return.  If your daughter files a tax return of her own--because of other income she received----then she should include the SSA1099 on her own tax return.    Is your child had an after school job, summer job, etc. while she was receiving those SS benefits then the SS should have been included on her own return IF she filed a return.  If she did not have other income or did not file a tax return, the SS did not have to be entered on a tax return at all.

Is this true for my other daughter, who is still under 18? The benefits are given to my wife for the benefit of the minor daughter.

Yes, it is the same.  She receives a Form SSA-1099 with her Social Security number in box 2 of the form.  A dependent SS benefits, regardless of age, cannot be entered on your tax return.
