Rollovers are not taxable, but you will receive forms 1099-R with the appropriate codes in Box 7.

You'll need to enter your forms 1099-R making sure to enter box 7 just as it is coded on your forms and TurboTax will exclude them from taxation.

In TurboTax, open your return and follow these steps:

  • Click on Federal Taxes, then on Wages and Income
  • Under All Income, locate the Retirement Plans and Social Security section
  • Click Show more and click Start next to IRA, 401(k), Pension plan withdrawals (1099-R) - see attached screenshot.
