Question

I have a retirment plan that pays me monhly. Turbo Tax wants me to shoud RMD withdrawal. There is no RMD.How do i fix this.

    When asked how much is RMD just say all.

    You need to answer the questions in TurboTax to indicate that none of your withdrawal was an RMD, that you get regular distributions from the plan, and that you took the required minimum distribution from all retirement accounts:

     

     

    You have to indicate that you get regular payments:

     

     

    Then, indicate that you took the required minimum distributions:

    Say all of it is the RMD.   If you need to start taking the RMD it will ask you if it is the RMD.  Say yes.  Anything your pension pays you is considered to be the  RMD.  Traditional pensions automatically fulfill the rules of an RMD. So for the RMD question put in the same amount as box 1.
