Question

I have entered the state tax number exactly as it is on my 1099R but I get an error saying it must be 14 characters. I have tried every variation i can think of.

    IF so, then for the number in the second half of box 15, the final three letters must be lower case.... wth....no spaces, no capitals.

     

    Edit the 1099-R.  Delete the number there entirely in the second part of box 15, then click in box 14 to make sure the number is gone.  then click back into that State ID number area and enter it again, being sure to NOT enter capital letters for the wth.
