I have form 1099-G, it does not have information in box 10-b for the state ID, but it wants me to enter in that information to continue. What do I do, how do I find it?

Is there any state tax withheld in box 11 of the 1099-G? If not, leave boxes 10a, 10b, and 11 blank in TurboTax.

If there is state tax withheld in box 11, the state ID has to be entered in box 10b. It should have been shown on the paper form. You can try contacting the agency that issued the 1099-G and ask them what the state ID is, or look on their web site. Or you can try entering the federal TIN (Payer's TIN), without the hyphen.
