I'm retired but checked has W2 now it wants employer info and can't get past it?

What is it that you want to do?

• Did you want to continue to enter a W-2? or
• Did you start to post a W-2 that you want to clear out?

In either case the starting point is the same.

To file a W-2 you will:

1. Open TurboTax and go to:
2. Income & Expenses
3. Select Job (W-2)
4. Enter the Employer ID number (It is just below the company name)
5. There are two boxes
   1. Upload it from my computer Note: Not all companies are available to Download
   2. Type it myself
6. Select one and continue through the interview.

How-do-i-import-or-enter-my-W-2

To clear a W-2 you will:

1. Open TurboTax and go to:
2. Income & Expenses
3. Select Job (W-2)
4. Select the W-2 you want to clear

5. On the right hand side there is a trash can.  Select the trash can and confirm you want to delete that form.
