Question

I'm trying to enter my 1099 -- in fact I want it downloaded to avoid making any mistakes. The software is asking for a control number? what the beep?

Also it is asking for somebodies last name and social security number and zip code. I assume that the software already knows my info already -- so what could this be?

There are over a dozen kinds of 1099's.   What kind are you trying to import and enter?
