Question

I made my RMD and entered the info, including that it all went to charity, and I am still getting charged a penalty?

    Did you also happen to enter the Charity QCD under Deductions?  Only enter it from the 1099R.  Check 1040 line  4a and 4b.   4b should be 0 taxable and QCD written by it.
