My SSA 1099 wasn't included in my 2020 return.  I need to amend the return to add SSA 1099 information. How do I do that?

First, you may get lucky and the return is rejected. Then you can correct and re-file.

Once your return is accepted and the finances are settled, you can file an amended return.

depending on all the other factors, your SS benefit may not be taxable.

In which case there is no need to amend.

Meanwhile IRS computers will check your SS Line 6a and make a correction for you. You will hear from them if there is more tax due.
