Form 1099-NEC, Nonemployee Compensation, is a form that solely reports nonemployee compensation. Form 1099-NEC is only replacing the use of Form 1099-MISC for reporting independent contractor payments.

Please follow the steps below if you need to remove the 1099-NEC form:

  • Log in to your account.
  • Select Federal Taxes from the left Menu
  • Go to Income and Expenses
  • Select Review next to Self-employment income and expenses
  • Click Continue next to your line of work.
  • On the following screen "Here's your (Business) info" select Delete (trash can icon) next to the 1099-NEC that you want to delete.
