Question

I need to start my taxes over and use the forms I have requested. That being 1040-SR and the credits and deductions for elderly and disabled. Hoe can I do this?

If you are 65 or older you will have 1040SR automatically.  The 1040SR is identical to the "regular" Form 1040 except the print is bigger.  All of the lines and calculations are the same.  As for whether you can get the Elderly and Disabled Credit.....use this IRS tool to see if you are eligible.  Congress has not updated that credit for decades so very few people are able to use it.

When you preview the Form 1040 it might just show you the "regular" one but if you print it later it will print on the 1040SR.

A 1040 is the tax return form you prepare here to send to the IRS.   If you start entering data in this software you are preparing a Form 1040.   Please look at it so you will know what you are sending to the IRS:
