I rec'd lump sum from SSDI. Paid LTD for over payment. Can I use the claim of right repayment for over $3000 even though I didnt have to file income for those past years?

The claim of right repayment is to recover tax you previously paid on taxable income. If the prior payments you received were bot taxable to you, you would have no valid reason to file a claim of right.
