Question

I received a 1099 NEC form for my union work pay for the year of 1097.59. No federal taxes were withheld. Where do I report this

If you were a self-employed union worker, then you would enter this as business income on Schedule C.  This income will be subject to SE Taxes. You can report this using TurboTax Home and Business Desktop or TurboTax Premium Online.  If you are in general self-employed, and you kept track of all of your income together, you would not need to enter this separately on your return, instead you would just keep it with your records since your other income should already include the income reported on the 1099-NEC.

If you are not self-employed but received this for another reason click here for instructions to enter your 1099-NEC
