I received a 2020 Substitute Form 1099-G, showing a refund. Box 3 shows Box 2 amount is for tax year 2019. Where can I correctly enter this info:?

After you enter the information reported on your form, there will be some follow-up questions to determine whether the amount is taxable based on whether you used the standard deduction or itemized deductions in 2019.

Use these steps:

• On the top row of the TurboTax online screen, click on Search (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax locate the search box in the upper right corner)
• This opens a box where you can type in “state and local tax refund” and click the magnifying glass (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax, click Find)
• The search results will give you an option to “Jump to state and local tax refund”
• Click on the blue “Jump to state and local tax refund” link and enter your information

If the box numbers do not match your form exactly, just go by the descriptions instead.
