Question

I received a letter from IRS stating did not report 1099r code 7 but I did not took any distribution nor received an 1099r. What Should I do?

Which tax year?
Did you do a rollover or Roth conversion?

Call the IRS on the number in the letter and ask for more information.  If you did not take any retirement plan distribution  in the tax year being questioned then they should be able to supply the details.  I am surprised that the letter does not tell you the source of the 1099-R that you did not report.

(Just a guess, but did you leave employment where you had a small 401(k) and the plan sent you the funds in the account?  That happens often, but you should have received a 1099-R unless you moved or it was lost in the mail.)
