The correct entry of a UK pension is to prepare a Substitute 1099-R form in the 1099-R/Pension section of Income and Expenses and entering either 1's or 9's for the payer ID.
However, some have electronic errors occur due to a substitute 1099-R having no federal ID number, so please enter the pension in Miscellaneous income. As long as IRS has the pension reported and included in total income, it is not problematic.
