I relinquished my worthless securities on E*TRADE, but they are not listed on Form 1099. How can I claim the losses from this sale, and which form should I use?

They will be reported on sch D provided you meet the requirements. Full instructions and requirements for how to write off your loss from worthless stock can be found at Losses (Homes, Stocks, Other Property) 1 - IRS
