You don't. There's no tax return checkbox to state that you are retired. You just enter the forms that you have for the year. If you started receiving Social Security or a pension/ retirement income, you enter those forms under:

Federal Taxes-Wages and Income- Retirement Plans and Social Security.

You would get a 1099-SSA for Social Security and a (CSA)1099-R for your pension/ retirement income.

You may get them this week if you haven't already
