I usually claim my gf as a dependent on fed taxes. This year (2024) she was awarded SSDI benefits. If claim her on my 2023 taxes can this cause an issue with her SSDI?
She has had zero income for over 10 years including 2023. I have paid for all her expenses including her expenses in 2023.
She worries that after fighting so hard for her disability that somehow by me claiming her as a disabled adult dependent she may lose her disability. Any advice?
