I want to see how my tax changes if I contribute to my IRA. How do I do this?

How do I do this "What if?" in TurboTax?

    There is not a What-If worksheet when using the TurboTax online editions.

     

    The What-If worksheet is available using the TurboTax desktop editions is Forms mode.  Click on Forms.  When in Forms mode click on Open Form in the upper left of the screen.  Type in what-if and click on the result to open.

    enter a tentative contribution.

    be prepared to zero it if results are not favorable.

    If your tax goes up you are not eligible for some or all of it.
