Question

I was trying to add the form 1099-G to our income/W2 page and now its telling me that my husband over paid on taxes. Did I possibly put this form in the wrong place?

Yes, don't enter your 1099-G in the W-2 area.

Type 'w2' in the Search area, then click on 'Jump to w2'.

At the W-2 Summary page, delete the entry you made for the 1099-G.

There are several kinds of 1099-Gs.  If yours if for Unemployment, click this link for instructions on How to Enter a 1099-G for Unemployment or Paid Family Leave
