Question

I withdraw money from my IRA. I returned some of it within the allowed 60 days. My 1099-R is now overstated. How do I enter the correct net amount?

    Enter the Form 1099-R as it was received.  One of the follow-up questions will ask what you did with the money.  One option will be that you returned it to the same account.  This will allow you to make the adjustment.
