If filing jointly, and I work and receive a military retirement, does my wife's ssb (social security benefit) form ssa 1099, have to be reported when we file.

Yes, the SSA 1099 would need to be reported on your tax return and your total income levels will determine whether the income will be taxable.  See more information below:
