If I have an IRA, what type of document do I need to have and what do I need to report?

I have very little in my IRA, only around $2000 the last I checked. I can't locate documents I may have been sent about interest on it. I haven't been able to contribute to it in awhile.

You do not need to report interest on an IRA. You only need to report distributions and you will receive Form 1099-R for a distribution.
