Question

If I receive corrective distributions from my 401k, how can I determine if I can contribute them to an IRA and it be deductible?

A corrective distribution from a 401(k) is generally unrelated to your eligibility to make a new, regular contribution to an IRA.  Corrective distributions are not eligible for rollover, but you can use any cash you have to make a new, regular IRA contribution that you are eligible to make.
