During the input portion of Turbo Tax I was asked if I had income from another state.  I do receive retirement (1099-R) from another state, does this mean I will need to file with that state?

No, receiving retirement income from another state does not cause you to have to file a return in the other state if you did not live there any part of the year.  If you moved from one state to the other during the year and received retirement income while you were living in both, then you would need to file two part-year returns for the income.
