Question

If I submitted a donation for St. Judes on my Fed return, can I also enter that on my state return if my state says it offers a credit for cancer Research Contributions?

Generally, yes, but it depends on the state.  If you are speaking about the Oklahoma credit, yes, the tax credit reduces your total state income tax liability by the amount of the credit and is offered in addition to state and federal charitable tax deductions.  If it is for another state, please advise which state for confirmation.
