Question

if my 1099-R form is different than what was automatically entered, what do I do?

I only have one 1099-R form and don't expect another one

    You mean you downloaded and automatically imported your 1099-R?

     

    And what you see is different than your paper form?

     

    Then go into TurboTax and look for the 1099-R Income section, and delete the downloaded 1099-R form, and enter the form you have by hand.

     

    TurboTax did not build the electronic data set that it received from your pension administration, so it can be wrong. Best to enter it by hand, if you have doubts.
