If my 1099-R shows state tax withheld, but nothing in the State distribution box, can I just move on?

My 1099-R shows state tax taken out, but no state distribution?

    No, you need to finish your 1099-R

     

    If there was an entry in box 14 (state tax withheld), then the pension administrator sent some tax money to a state. TurboTax needs to know what state that was (in box 15).

     

    And normally, the administrator puts the "state distribution in box 16.

     

    Tells us the amounts and entries in boxes 14-15-16.
