If my husband and I both took out loans in 2018 from our 401(k)s and are paying them back by payroll deductions, Should we each have received 1099 R’s?

 my husband and I each took out loans from our 401(k)’s in 2018. But we did not get 1099R. We are paying each paying these loans back with payroll deduction should we have gotten a 1099R ?

No, you will not be receiving forms 1099-R, as loans from a 401(k) plan are not distributions.

They are not taxable. You just need to repay the loans
