If my payer is listed as Teacher's Retirement System of Louisiana on my 1099-R, where is my distribution from?

Sounds like it is a qualified plan (403b). Is that what you mean? You can always contact the administrator if unsure.

Are you still a resident of LA?  IF not, you might need to tell us what state you were living in during 2023.

If you are still a resident of LA....the selection seems obvious to me, but this picture was from a couple years ago, and maybe they changed the selections...but if you no longer live in LA, the choices depend on what state you live in.
