Question

If my wife and I filled jointly for the first time this year, and she did them for us, do I have to do anything on my end?

No, as long as she included both your income and deductions as well as her income and deductions as part of the return, then you are done.  There is nothing that you need to do separately since the joint return was filed.

When you file a tax return as Married Filing Jointly, you have to enter all income, deductions, dependents for both of you on one tax return.  Was your income included on the joint tax return?

You do not file a tax return, but if none of your tax information was included on the joint tax return, then the return has to be amended.

Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS.
