If my wife and I have 2 different distributions from the same payer turbo tax will only accept one amount not 2 different amounts is there a fix???

Check to make your you indicated this is your spouse's 1099R in the add screens and you did not indicate it was yours.  Also check the top of the 1099R to insure it is not a corrected or duplicate form.  You also may be able to review the account number at the bottom of the 1099Rs to insure they are different accounts.  Generally, Financial institutions will only issue 1 1099Rs per code used.  In other words if you have a code 7 in box 7, you will not receive another 1099R with a code 7.  Check your coding in box 7.  If you individually received 2 1099Rs from the same institution, the box 7 codes should be different.
