Question

If TurboTax is trying to tell me that I don't qualify for the Basic plan, when I'm 18 with no dependents or properties to my name, working fast food, what do I do?

I am not a self-employed person. I filed my taxes last year, no problem. This year it's telling me I have to pay, and it won't let me move on without upgrading my plan. I have 2 different W-2 documents uploaded, because I worked 2 jobs this year. I don't know what to do.

Did you receive and upload or enter a Form 1099-NEC?  If so, that is self-employment income and you will not be able to use the free version of TurboTax.  If that's not the case, you may have answered something in the program that makes it think you're self-employed.  If that's case, you can Clear and Start Over.  For more information and instructions on how to clear and start over, click on the following link:   How do I clear and start over?
