Im doing something wrong on my taxes. My retirement is taxed by the federal but not taxed by the state. How do I enter this on my return.

    What state?  Some states do not tax retirement income, or only tax certain amounts or kinds of retirement income.

     

    When you enter your retirement income into the federal software, the information flows over to your state return.  The software will follow your state's tax laws pertaining to taxing your retirement income.
