Im filing my fathers SSI and Pension taxes. Why is it asking me work related questions?

The 'work related questions' are asked because there may be features of the tax code that could affect the taxability of the SSI or pension distribution.

 

Some questions might be Where is this distribution from? and Was xxx employed as a public safety officer?
