Question

In entering my 1099-R entries, the question is asked "am I withdrawing before retirement age?" Is that 62 or 66.5 (my full retirement age.?

I assume that your 1099-R has a code 3 in box 7.

The retirement age is the earliest age that you could have retired at if not disabled and were still working. Each employers retirement plan is different.

If you don't know then contact the plan administrator and ask them.
