In the final review/file stage, how do I get past a looping error regarding Form 1099-R, NY State Tax withholding when the info is correct per the original 1099-R?

Here's the exact wording of the error: Box 14a For electronic filing, NY State withholdings can not be greater than or equal to gross distribution or state distribution.

    Do you have an entry in box 16 of your 1099-R?

    • It may be blank on your form.
    • It should be equal to Box 1, unless there are adjustment in the NY state return.
