Solved

Included in my income was $5128.69 from my son's Roth IRA which I gave to his wife to make partial payment of his funeral costs. Is there a different way to report this?

Sorry, but there is no exemption from tax if the proceeds are spent on funeral, burial or probate expenses.

(I'm assuming the Roth distribution is taxable - under many circumstances, they aren't.)

Edward Jones people indicated that all the necessary taxes had been paid on Brad's account before it was sent to the acct assigned to me. Therefore I think the $5128.69 would not be taxable.
