I have been using turbotax for years
This time over I am faced with a strange situation

An income on 1099R coming from old conventional retirement plan with a set amount and while feeding in data TT is forcing me to input RMD established by income disbursing authority.

Now this income has nothing to do with RMD nor applicable to it

How to get around this

Will appreciate your help resolve situation

The total pension income received for the year is the RMD.

    Thank your for your response

however it’s responsibility of Ttax to get this fixed

software is made to guidr yoyr tax filings.  Something changed in software design wherein it cannot differentiate between 401 403 etc and

conventional pensions plan incomes and not ask irrelevant question pn RMD is . In the past years I didn’t face this issue why now

iMany are facing this issue and I see nouse on the net

@dakya27 Did you turn 70 1/2 in 2024?  If so, your pension income on the Form 1099-R will be asked about the MRD whereas it would not be an issue on prior years.  The same happened to me 6 years ago.
