Iowa is now an AGI state for 2023, so there were lots of changes to tax software. As of 2/5/24 (and I downloaded IA today), it looks like the IA Pension Exclusion is not working. The Pension Exclusion Worksheet is not correctly footing and carrying to Schedule 1, Line 7.
I checked my program and the pension exclusion seems to work fine for Iowa. My pension income is correctly posting in IA 1040, Schedule 1 Line 7. If you have the desktop/download version, you have the opportunity to manually record the amount in IA 1040 Schedule 1 Line 7 if you properly entered your pension information in your federal return.
