Question

Is my retirement pension from the school system in california (PERS) considered RMD? I don't know how to answer the question about RMD.

I have a 1099-R from my deceased husband.  He retired from the california school system (classified employee).  How do I know if any of the distribution was a RMD?

I assume that the payments were made monthly in which case all was RMD.
