But do you also get Social Security checks?  It might be taxable.

 

Up to 85% of Social Security becomes taxable when all your other income plus 1/2 your social security, reaches:

Married Filing Jointly: $32,000

Single or head of household: $25,000

Married Filing Separately: 0

is the amount going up from 25,000 to 35,000 in 2020? my total amount of retirement income from pension and social security will be just under 35,000. if not I need to select some withholding on both my checks.
