Is your Social Security Benefits Worksheet calculating correctly? You calculated $8,852. I p/o worksheet & hand calc $6,663.85 based on same figures, diff of $2,188. Why?

Based on same figures, I came up with a lower amount calculating by hand on the actual worksheet.  Is your system not calculating correctly?

Box 5 from SSA-1099 = $21,456

Combined amounts lines 7-19 = $35,253, no line 8b amount

lines 23-32 = $1,200

Married filing jointly

No lump sum election from prior years

Did you have anything on line 21 (other income) of your Form 1040 that could have made the calculation higher?
