It keeps asking me to enter 1099-NEC information for my spouse. I am single (never married) and have no 1099 data to enter, but it wont let me continue?

Try going directly to the Form 1099-NEC section to see if there is a blank form there causing an issue.  Use these steps:

• On the top row of the TurboTax online screen, click on Search (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax locate the search box in the upper right corner)
• This opens a box where you can type in “1099-NEC” and click the magnifying glass (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax, click Find)
• The search results will give you an option to “Jump to 1099-NEC”
• Click on the blue “Jump to 1099-NEC” link

If there is a blank 1099-NEC form in your return, you will see a Form 1099-NEC Summary page.  Click the trash can icon or Delete next to the 1099-NEC.  

If there is not a form in the return, then you will see a question asking if you need to enter one -- answer No.
