It keeps telling me how that I did not provide state abbreviation, the payers state id and or distribution

Not put in state abbreviation and state tax number and distribution

Workaround:

To resolve this error an amount will need to be entered in Box 14 of the 1099-R

Steps to resolve:

Select "Update" for IRA, 401(K), Pension Plans (1099-R) area of the interview.
Select "Edit" for each 1099-R to verify if there is an entry in Box 14
Enter the amount from Box 14 of the 1099-R
If the amount in Box 14 is blank on the 1099-R
Enter the amount from Box 1 into Box 14
Re-submit the return
